Participants will learn basic macramé knots and their variations: lark's head, clove hitch, square knot, and half knot. Ornamental beads will be used to add more depth. Based on the knots learned and the use of beads, participants will design their own pattern and create a wall-hanging. All supplies are included.
Wynette says "I grew up in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina and lived many places. Ten years ago, I decided to plant myself in Jackson County as the mountains are a special place. In junior high, I was introduced to macramé in my art class. Art is an outlet where I can relax and express my creativity. Outside of school and work, I enjoy family time, engaging in community service, and spending much time outdoors in the wilderness."
